Encroachment

About rights-of-way, easements and encroachments

If an EKPC transmission line right-of-way is located on property you own, please review EKPC’s brochure, “Your Property and Electric Transmission Line Rights-of-Way” to learn more about rights-of-way and easements.

In 2023 EKPC shifted its position regarding encroachments upon rights-of-way, and generally does not allow the construction of permanent structures within the easement area.  However, if you wish for EKPC to evaluate your situation, please fill out and submit the form below.

EKPC will mark the edges of the easement for you free of charge – if survey and engineering work are required to evaluate your request, there may be a fee.

If you have questions, please contact pdrightofway@ekpc.coop
